ADRIAN L. MALLORY
AUTHOR OF CORRUPT INJUSTICE

BBN: How did you come up with the

character Sean?

ADRIAN: I like a book that has some

degree of complexity. Time is a valuable

resource that I learned to respect.

A book is in competition for my

time with other factions of entertainment

so if it starts off boring, of poor

quality or easily predictable then I felt

my time was better invested into a movie

So I approached it with the

intent of being as entertaining as a movie

which has a limited time to

access your thoughts and portray

their message. Every good movie

needs its star so with that in mind I

created Sean 'S-Dot' Williams with a

charismatic vivacious personality that

whether you like or dislike him you

couldn't help but find him captivating.

I had Will Smith's playboy detective

character 'Mike Lowry' from Bad

Boys in mind but on a gritty street

level.

AUTHOR OF CORRUPT INJUSTICE

BBN: What inspired you to write the

book?

ADRIAN: I was in prison from 2005 to

2008 so I had the time to assess myself.

Realizing I was chasing dead

ends, I put thought into the persistent vocal

demands from my former English

Professor to write.

Never did I

see it as feasible financially but the

daily redundant prison routine coupled

with some poorly written and

predictable urban books that I couldn't

relate to put my pen in motion.

BBN: How long did it take to write?

ADRIAN: In prison time was in omnipresent

and this was my escape so I

use to get lost into my writing which

may be why the readers tend to do

likewise. I'd say 3-4 months and it's

over 400 pages. I wrote several others

during similar time spans, but

now with all that's going on it takes

much longer but I minimize my surroundings

and distractions to recreate

that comfort writing zone I had in prison.

BBN: I want to let you know that I

really enjoyed Corrupt Injustice

ADRIAN: Thank you I'm glad to hear

that. Corrupt Injustice is a four part

series with Art of Deception as the

first one available. I often hear from

the reader that they

have not come

across as engaging and detail oriented

as my writing style which sole

purpose is to capture and engage the

imagination. I knew I had written a

good story so I put

heavy emphasis

on the book's

cover being just as

captivating and I'm

very pleased with

it as a whole.
